NoiseDesk is a web-based application that brings together aircraft operations, noise events, rule infringements, community complaints, and reporting in one place for airport teams and surrounding communities.
Understanding what NoiseDesk does
NoiseDesk is part of Ideagen's aviation intelligence products. It gives airport teams and the communities around them a clear, shared picture of what's happening in the sky and on the ground.
Whether you're an airport operations officer checking yesterday's flight activity, a noise and environment manager investigating a specific event, or a community engagement lead responding to a resident's inquiry, NoiseDesk is the single place you go to find the answer.
Exploring the six menus
NoiseDesk is organised into six menus, each covering a different part of the picture:
- Operations — a record of aircraft movements at your airport
- Noise Events — noise readings linked to those operations, including audio playback
- Infringements (also called Violations) — instances where an operation has broken a defined rule
- Inquiries — complaints and questions raised by community members
- Reports — summarised views of the data above, ready to share or export
- Settings — the configuration options that let your airport tailor NoiseDesk to its own rules and monitors
These menus share a consistent look and feel. Once you've learned to filter, sort, and drill into a record in one menu, you already know how to do it in the others.
